Types of Jump Gates
A Hyperspace Jump Gate is an apparatus with the power to open a vortex that connects normal space with hyperspace, making interstellar travel a matter of days. Jump gates also provide beacons that allow navigation within hyperspace. Some ships are large enough to house jump gate devices within them, enabling them to enter and exit hyperspace at will.
